Read-In in Kenya

Thanks to the DCCCD African American Read-In, 34 orphan children in Busia Kenya received book bags, t-shirts, books, pens and pencils. Lenora Casmore, AARI Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, traveled to Kenya in June 2006 to minister to orphans due to the tragedies of AIDS.

As part of their ministry to orphan children, Lenora and her missionary team provided humanitarian aid in the way of clothing, toiletries and school supplies. The ability to touch the lives of orphans with the basic necessities of life plus books heightened their experience.
